Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Title: Licensed Journeyman Electrician - Traveling PositionLocation: Various Job Sites - AlabamaCompany: United Trades of AmericaPay Range: $20 - $36 per hour (based on experience, certification, and job scope)Employment Type: Full-Time, Long-Term AssignmentsPosition Overview:United Trades of America is actively hiring licensed Journeyman Electricians for a variety of commercial and industrial projects across the state of Alabama. These are travel-based opportunities and candidates must hold a valid Alabama electrical license to be considered.This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and safety awareness. Projects will include new construction, plant expansions, remodels, and maintenance within commercial facilities and industrial job sites. Candidates must be comfortable working in high-paced environments under minimal supervision, interpreting electrical drawings and schematics, and adhering to job-specific codes and safety standards.Minimum Requirements:Must hold a current and valid Journeyman Electrician License in the State of AlabamaMust be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background checkMust have a minimum of 4-5 years of verifiable commercial and/or industrial electrical experienceOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification requiredNCCER Certification preferredMust have experience with the installation of conduit (EMT, Rigid), cable trays, panel terminations, switchgear, transformers, and lighting systemsProficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagramsMust have own hand tools and PPE suitable for electrical workJob Responsibilities:Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial and industrial environmentsBend, cut, and thread conduit accurately and safelyPull and terminate wire and cable to codeWork independently or with a team to complete electrical installations on scheduleEnsure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), site-specific protocols, and OSHA regulationsFollow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures at all timesAt United Trades of America, we are committed to providing long-term employment opportunities for skilled tradespeople.
