This position is responsible for leading an electrical crew on commercial and industrial construction sites nationally. Prizm Offers:A Full-Time Stable Career Opportunity offering Competitive wagesMedical Insurance 100% Paid by Employer Life InsuranceVacation, Sick Leave & 9 Paid Holidays401kEssential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Manage a crew of 6 - 35 journeymen and apprenticesDaily task and production planningRead and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine quality layout of electrical equipment installationsTest electrical equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistanceMaintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard metersTroubleshoot, maintain, and repair, electrical and low voltage control systems and other related devicesArrange and coordinate safety meetingsDelegate tasks and responsibilities to crew membersBe the point of contact with the general contractor's site superintendentSupervise and train apprentices on the job, as requiredMaintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures, and guidelines to immediate supervisorDaily quality control and assurance program Daily safety inspectionsControlling inventory on truck, jobsite, and in/out of stockOrganize and maintain material lists for your crewCoordinates project specific company tool procurement and replacementInspect tasks upon completion and ensure areas are cleanDetect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment following established inspection proceduresRespond to emergency calls as neededOther duties as assigned.Education and Experience:Valid state license that permits you to practice as a journeyman electrician per jobsite locations4 - 5 years of supervisor experienceTrained in Microsoft Suites such as Project, Excel, Outlook, and WordStrong work ethic and positive attitudeAppropriate certificates or degrees will be advantageous.Excellent critical thinking skills.An active listener with top-notch verbal and written communication skills.Physical Requirements:Physically fit and capable of carrying up to 50 pounds.Frequently work on manlifts, ladders and scaffolds. Working environment varies, depending on the type of job. Including, but not limited to natural ambient conditions, confined areas, ditches, or other uncomfortable places. Operates construction equipment, including forklifts, backhoes, and cargo trucks.Work weeks are typically over 40 hours with project specific overtime, as needed.
