Specific Job-Related Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform work outlined on repair orders prepared by the Service Advisor in an efficient and accurate manner -- adhering to our dealership standards and proceduresKeep the Service Advisor informed of the repair order's status and the estimated time for its completion so that customers can be informedPerform repair, maintenance, and warranty work in a timely fashion. Road-test to confirm problems were resolved and the vehicle's operation will meet or exceed customer expectations. Ensure customer's vehicle is left in a clean and UN-damaged stateMaintain an organized and neat work stationComply with all company safety policies and proceduresContinuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology. Maintain value, quality, and integrityGeneral Company Related Duties and Responsibilities Report to work within acceptable time frames and company standards.Maintain appropriate degree of professionalism towards customers and coworkers. Qualifications Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required2-4 years technician experience/trainingASE certification preferredBasic computer & phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook)Experience with automotive software preferredExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work within a fast-paced environmentMust be able to lift items up to 50-75 lbs.Current, valid drivers license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)Working Conditions The employee will work indoors and outdoors in an auto shop environment.
