Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: Job Description:Stouts Event Line Cook Stouts Island Lodge is a picturesque resort situated on an island in the heart of Red Cedar Lake, near Rice Lake, WI. Renowned for offering exceptional customer service. We are looking for individuals who are committed to maintaining and upholding this tradition of excellence.We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team for events and weddings. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food, ensuring that each dish is prepared according to the events specifications, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. You will work closely with the event catering team to ensure timely and exceptional food service during weddings and other special events.Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals in accordance with the events menu, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and taste. Timing and Organization: Ensure all dishes are completed in a timely manner and ready to be served according to the event schedule. Kitchen Operations: Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all kitchen equipment and tools are in good working condition. Station Management: Manage and operate a designated station during events, including grilling, sauting, frying, and preparing other dishes as needed. Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the chef and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service during the event. Follow instructions and assist with prep, plating, and any other tasks required. Health and Safety Standards: Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both the guests and the team. Inventory and Stocking: Help monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking ingredients and supplies needed for events. Special Requests: Accommodate any special dietary requests or last-minute changes from clients while maintaining quality and presentation.Qualifications: Proven experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar role in a fast-paced kitchen, preferably in catering or event settings. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules. Team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and work as part of a team. Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform tasks that require strength and mobility.Preferred Skills: Culinary degree or relevant certifications. Experience working in events, weddings, or catering services.
