Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob descriptionThe MSI Trucking & Sitework team is looking for a Working Foreman. This position is responsible for leading work teams and ensuring the timely completion of projects within the approved budget. This role involves on-site operations, coordinating with team members, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company values.Job responsibilities include:Project Leadership: Lead the project team on-site to complete daily tasks on schedule. Report any unplanned changes promptly to the MSI Trucking and Siteworks ManagerEarthwork Planning: Plan and implement earthwork strategies, ensuring timely notification to local utility and regulatory entities to maintain compliance with local and state regulationsHeavy Equipment Operation: Serve as a heavy equipment operator as directed, operating machinery efficiently and safelyDeadline Management: Establish a schedule to meet deadlines on internal/external site work projects. Communicate changes or delays to the manager in a timely mannerSite Inspections: Assist with site inspections and compile information on site conditions, reporting findings to the manager promptlyProject Completion: Assist in managing project completion to meet customer requirements and maintain high-quality standardsResource Coordination: Coordinate with team members to effectively utilize all available resources, optimizing efficiencyEquipment Maintenance: Communicate maintenance equipment issues to the manager to ensure smooth program operationWinter Plowing: Serve as a winter plow truck driver as directed, ensuring safe road conditions during inclement weatherTeam Management: Proactively manage team members to accomplish project goals and meet deadlinesSafety Compliance: Take action to ensure on-site staff perform work safely and in accordance with (V)OSHA and MSI safety regulations and guidelinesHands-On Work: Serve as a site worker regularly, in addition to managerial duties, to ensure projects remain on time and within budgetVehicle Operation: Operate big rigs and other class A CDL vehicles as directedAdditional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as required to support the overall success of MSI Trucking & Siteworks operationsQualifications:Flexibility to meet operational demands, including working nights, weekends, and holidays3 years experience supervising a team in siteworks related operationsAdherence to and modeling of MSI valuesAbility to interact courteously and professionally with co-workers and the publicCompliance with MSI attendance policiesKnowledge of construction tools/equipment operationAbility to read site drawingsStrong leadership skillsExceptional organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to multitask and bring issues to timely closureExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office productsCome as you are; Discover what is possible.
