In this position, you will gain hands on professional experience and learn how the department runs.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Shadowing PCA in field duties that include scouting for the following: insects, weeds, pathogens, and vertebrates that may cause damage to almonds, pistachios, and pomegranates.Responsible for checking traps and studying the behaviors and attributes of insects detrimental to almonds, pistachios, and pomegranate.Responsible for assisting with other departments on projects.Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, shall, and/ or ability required.
