Today, we are a 12-bed acute care federally designated Critical Access Hospital and a 50-bed long-term care facility, which also includes a home healthcare agency, an 8-bed assisted living facility, and ambulance services. Our campus includes a medical clinic in Hallock and a satellite clinic in Karlstad, MN. We strive to provide highly personalized care to every patient and residentwe dont see them as numbers, but as family, neighbors, teachers, and community members.Department: Environmental ServicesReports To: Manager of Environmental ServicesSupervises: NoneJob Summary:The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment across Kittson Healthcares clinics, hospital, and long-term care settings. This position plays a vital role in promoting health and safety by ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility. On the job training will be provided.Primary Responsibilities Include:Cleaning and sanitizing patient/resident rooms, restrooms, hallways, and public/common areasMaintaining cleanliness in administrative and clinical officesFollowing infection control protocols and safety proceduresProperly disposing of waste, including biohazardous materialsOperating and maintaining cleaning tools and equipmentManaging cleaning supplies and adhering to usage guidelinesRestocking housekeeping carts and cleaning supply storage areasAdhering to confidentiality and privacy regulations for residents and patients Support setup and cleanup for special facility events or meetings, as needed Assisting with laundry duties as needed Job Requirements:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking EnglishStrong communication skills to interact with staff, patients, and visitorsUnderstanding of healthcare cleaning standards and sanitation protocolsFamiliarity with infection prevention measures and OSHA safety regulationsKnowledge of handling and disposing of biohazardous wasteCompetency with cleaning tools, products, and equipmentPhysical ability to lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periodsCommitment to confidentiality and resident/patient privacyQualifications:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalentOne (1) year of general housekeeping experience preferredMust pass a Minnesota background check and fingerprintingTB test required within the first 3 weeks of employmentWork Schedule:Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMEvery third weekend and holiday rotation requiredWhy Work With Us:Full-Time Employee Benefits:Medical (select plans HSA-eligible with employer contribution)Dental and Vision - 100% employer-paid for single coverageBasic Life and AD&D - 100% employer-paid policyOptional employee-paid voluntary life and AD&DPaid Time Off (PTO) and Extended Time Off403(b) retirement plan with 3% employer matchEducational ScholarshipsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Shift differential payCell phone discountEmployer-paid CNA training and certification availableShift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMEvery third weekend and holiday rotation required
