We are expanding our team to continue driving growth of our fast-paced industry.Job SummaryThe Electrical Substation Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of electrical substation construction projects from start to finish. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. The Superintendent will lead site operations, coordinate with project teams, and serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors and field staff. ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage daily field operations of electrical substation construction.Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.Oversee site safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site personnel.Inspect work for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.Maintain project documentation and progress reports.Address and resolve any site issues or project delays.Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.Conduct site meetings and provide regular project updates.Work primarily on active construction sitesExposure to varying weather conditionsOccasional travel may be required Qualifications5/+ years of experience in electrical substation construction required.Degree in construction management or electrical trade preferred.Proven leadership and team management skillsStrong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and construction practicesFamiliarity with safety regulations and quality control standardsExcellent communication and problem/-solving abilitiesAbility to work in a fast/-paced, outdoor environmentProficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite EEOC Statement:Grand Isle Shipyard (GIS) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
