Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: Primary Responsibilities:The Human Resources Generalist is a professional who oversees daily human resources related functions at the Oakdale OSB facility.Upholds vision and values, including safety, respect, integrity, commitment, honesty, excellence, stewardship, personal responsibility/accountability, professional behavior and trust.Creates standard operating procedures for human resources related functionsServes as payroll backup for the human resources teamAssists with programs such as AwardCo, Absorb LMS, AppSpace Manages, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openingsConducts focus group meetings and employee surveys Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain complianceMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employmentPlans, schedules, attends, and manages recruiting eventsManages employee engagement eventsJob Experience:A willingness to learn and grow is critical for this position.Required skills, experience, and/or educationBachelors degree in human resources or related field3+ years of experience in an equivalent roleAdvanced knowledge of human resources conceptsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteBehavioral Skills:Behavioral skills are critical for determining success in a career.Ethical, approachable, and empatheticReceptive, collaborative, and organizedExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessaryThorough, organized, and detail-orientedHigh ego-strength, emotional intelligence, and ego-resiliencyAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityAdvanced interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to present complex informationStrong analytical, active listening, and critical thinking skillsTechnologically savvy and creativeBenefits:Some of the benefits our team members enjoy include the following: Healthcare- Legacy Health & Wellness and Legacy Pharmacy Wellness Program Flexible Spending Account Additional Insurance Paid Time Off Retirement Chaplaincy Services EducationAbout RoyOMartinAt RoyOMartin, people are our number-one asset.
