Job DescriptionSUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Mobile/Trailer Shop Manager ensures the efficiency and quality of production in the mobile shop, overseeing operations including grading, packing, equipment maintenance, quality assurance, and sanitation. This role requires effective management of production activities, team development, and compliance with organizational policies and regulations. The Mobile/Trailer Shop Manager also drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and optimize value-added time, while supporting employees professional development.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide daily production plans and priorities for the assigned zone, resolving scheduling conflicts as necessary.Coordinate resources to meet production output and quality goals, managing work assignments and overseeing standard work protocols.Monitor performance metrics such as target rates, completed work, and upcoming tasks, ensuring team members meet productivity and quality standards.Evaluate team morale and performance, handling disciplinary actions, and making recommendations for promotions, transfers, or wage adjustments.Collaborate with supporting departments to address safety, quality, or productivity issues promptly.Ensure production work is prepared in advance to minimize downtime, while staying capable of performing all tasks within the zone, including equipment operation.Maintain and enforce company rules and procedures for consistency and compliance.Promote safe work practices and oversee adherence to GMPs and safety guidelines.Encourage continuous improvement through lean thinking, managing 5S initiatives, and fostering a supportive team environment.Lead performance management activities, aligning team goals with organizational objectives, and actively engage in process improvement initiatives.Cultivate leadership skills within the team to develop strong leaders.Oversee administrative responsibilities, including payroll, attendance tracking, disciplinary actions, and manpower requests.Skill Requirements:Language Skills: Proficiency in English (written and verbal); conversational Spanish is preferred.Mathematical Skills: Proficiency with basic arithmetic, ratios, and percentages; statistical knowledge is advantageous.Reasoning Ability: Strong ability to implement general requirements in a plant environment and work collaboratively in a team setting.Computer Skills: Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and ability to utilize computer software for timekeeping and record management.Qualifications, Education, and Experience:Bachelors degree preferred; Associates degree or High School Diploma required.3-5 years mobile mechanic/diesel mechanic1-2 years of leadership experience Pay Range: $94,000 to $122,500/yrAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.EEO is the law - click here for more information
