Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Diesel Technician performs diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment. Most importantly, we want you to have fun working at TNE!Youll focus on:Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) productsParticipates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeConducts or supports customer training/clinicsMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive productsMaintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipmentMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignmentsAccounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned dutiesMay perform diagnosis and repair in the fieldForklift experience and license preferred.Must be able to work regular Service Department hours, and maintain reliable attendanceWhat we are looking for:1-2+ years of experience performing service repairsAbility to perform repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures on machines of the Technicians specialtyKnowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipmentSkills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesAbility to use Service Advisor and basic computer functionsMust be able to retain positive relationships with customers and co-workersHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferredValid drivers license requiredCandidates must have a valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorshipNormal hours worked are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm in our off season. Seasonal hours worked are Mon-Fri 730am-530pm and every other Saturday 730am-12pm, with extended hours and on call hours seasonallyReports directly to: Aftermarket ManagerTotal Rewards Package:$19-$24+/hr depending on years of experienceInsurance: Health insurance with 100% single premium paid, 75% SPD or family premium paid; TNE covers 50% of all dental and vision premiums; 100% of short/long-term disability insurance, and life insurance.401K: TNE offers 401K with company matching for qualified employees because who doesnt want to save for retirement!PTO: Our generous PTO package is awarded to you on your FIRST day of employment.
