Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Job titleNetwork Security AdministratorReports toChief Information OfficerLocation: Cherry County HospitalShift: 40hr/ week + callPosition SummaryThe Network Engineer is responsible for the network infrastructure at Cherry County Hospital and Clinic. The position also supports a broad range of technologies such as Cisco Unified Call Manager, medical modalities, and provides day to day support to staff.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Networking knowledge including an understanding of Layer 2/3 switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewallsSupports wireless infrastructureMaintains network equipment to the latest firmware releasesApplies TIA/EIA standards when implementing network cablingSupports medical modalities by providing basic connection troubleshooting Creates and maintains robust network documentation Client workstation administration with Windows 10 is required with the ability to diagnose software and PC/Malware/antivirus problemsOn-call duties on a rotationEnsures the confidentiality of patients medical, personal, and financial records is maintainedComplies with Cherry County Hospital personnel policies Performs other duties as assignedSkills and Abilities RequiredAbility to create a work environment that promotes efficiency and productivity, satisfaction, growth and development, collaboration and teamwork.Ability to work closely and cooperatively with department personnel, the public, physicians, third party payors, and other staffA preference for working with the public and other staff Self-motivated; possess a positive, friendly attitude with the ability to work in a professional environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication, and documentation skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to adapt to the needs of the organization and employeesAbility to prioritize tasksWillingness to accept changeHigh tolerance for stressMust be knowledgeable of state and federal confidentiality laws, including but not limited to HIPAA, and be familiar with and follow all policies, procedures and instructions regarding the privacy and security of protected health information applicable to the position.Physical Demands and Working ConditionsRequires sitting for long periods of time Should be able to perform standing, bending, and liftingRepetitive use of hands, arms, and eyes, which could result in strain Environment requires working in close proximity with others in a clean favorable areaRequires regular working hours with the probability of overtime and call-back during weekend and evening hours #ZRRequirements:Minimum Job Requirements3 years of related work experience is required Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred Cisco Firepower Threat Detection firewall experienceHIPAA and Hi-Tech experienceMeditech, GEPACS experienceActive Directory experience Desktop and application virtualization experience (e.g., VMWare VIEW).Basic Microsoft Office experience is requiredCisco Unified Call Manager experience preferred, but also willing to train Comptia Network+ and Cisco CCNA preferred
