Your work will be supported by our paint prep and sandblasting team members.What does a Painter do at SpecSys?Pour paint into spray gun and spraying specified amount of primer or finish coatings onto prepared surfacesSelects paint according to company requirements and matches colors of paint following specified color chartsRegulates controls on portable ventilators and exhaust units to cure and dry paint or other coatingsStrips grease, dirt, paint and rust from projects, using abrasives, solvents, brushes and sandblasterSets up portable ventilators, exhaust units, ladders and scaffoldingOperates lifting and moving devices to move equipment or materials to access areas to be paintedDisassembles sprayer and power equipment, such as sandblaster and cleans equipment and hand tools, using solvents, wire brushes and clothsMixes, stirs and thins paint or other coatings, using spatula or power mixing equipmentWhat are we looking for in a quality Painter candidate? Industrial painting experience (preferred)Lift up to 50 lbs.Able to bend, crawl and be on feet for 8 plus hours per workdayAuto Body degree (preferred)Or any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performanceMany tasks include their own work and/or the review of work of others in the department.
