Title: Head Fleet MechanicDirect Supervisor: General ManagerSummary of Position:Komro Sales & Service, Inc. is seeking out a lead mechanic to perform accurate and thoroughservice, repairs, and maintenance on company trucks, trailers, and other equipment asneeded.Komro Sales & Services, Inc. is a privately owned company serving the Dairy and AgriculturalIndustry since 1960. We provide our customers with facility design and construction serviceswhich includes sales and service for irrigation; grain handling; manure handling; andconstructing high tech manure separation systems nationwide. In addition, we handle a broadline of manure handling, feed handling, & skid steer equipment. Komro Sales is constantlydeveloping manpower to support, with innovation, our growing customer base.We are offering competitive pay and a generous benefit package including paid time off,uniforms, medical insurance, paid training, 401(k) plan with employer contribution, & profitsharing.Roles & Responsibilities:• Supervise shop by assigning tasks, verifying completed work, and assisting withrepairs. Including training the technicians and disciplinary actions as needed.• Interview and hire new technicians as needed. Conduct yearly performanceevaluations.• Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all company trucks, trailers, andother equipment as needed.• Interpret diagnostic test results accurately.• Perform annual DOT maintenance inspections.• Experienceknowledge of electrical systems, diesel and gas engines, drivability,diagnostics, wiring schematics, and small engines.• Document parts and time spent on each work order.• Prepare new and used trucks and trailers for delivery.• Display a sense of urgency, professionalism, and maintain an ownership mentalitywhile performing required service for internal and external customers.• Maintain a safe work environment.• Maintain an orderly and clean work environment (shop floors, tools, job space, etc.).• Maintain constant communication with co-workers and the general manager regardingweekly tasks and completion status. And attend bi-weekly managers’ meetings.• Be adaptable to assisting the team whenever necessary on any and all projects ortasks.Qualifications:JOB DESCRIPTIONKomro Sales & Service, Inc. 2 Bobcat Technician• Proven experience as an auto mechanic; supervisory or lead technician experiencepreferred.• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record• CDL or ability to obtain one.• Good time management and problem-solving skills• Enforce safety regulations and protocols• Strong leadership abilities.• Must have their own tools or ability to obtain their own tools.• Technical certification or degree preferred but not required.• Experienceknowledge of electrical systems, diesel and gas engines, drivability,diagnostics, wiring schematics, and small engines.• Must be comfortable with working in awkward positions or cramped spaces.• Attention to detail and highly organized.• Effective written and verbal communication skills• Capability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule formPlease note that this is a summary and not inclusive of all job responsibilities.
