You’ll guide daily coverage, elevate enterprise reporting, and collaborate with a small, talented team using modern print and digital tools. We publish twice weekly in print and update our website throughout the week.What you’ll doShape coverage: Plan and edit daily stories; set priorities and keep the content calendar on track.Elevate reporting: Coach reporters, polish copy, sharpen headlines, and uphold standards for accuracy, fairness, and clarity.Own key moments: Lead in-depth packages on elections, town meeting season, schools, business, and community issues.Drive digital: Post to web, write alerts, and collaborate on infographics, photo galleries, and simple interactives.Reporting: Jump on breaking news and produce weekly newsfeature bylines.What makes you a great fitStrong news judgment and line-editing chops; comfort working fast without losing anized, calm under deadline, and curious about how local decisions affect people’s lives.Editor-level experience in a newsroom.
