Diesel Mechanics - Medium & Heavy Duty Trucks Just a short drive from ChesterfieldWe are an equal opportunity employer and encourage all to apply including women and minorities.SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:Responsible for performing a variety of duties primarily supporting our Service Department and our customers in the area of truck and fleet maintenance repairs. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Diagnoses mechanical problems; able to handle regular maintenance, light and heavy repairs for trucks and truck equipment including brakes, transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps and electrical problems and engine repairs.Performs scheduled maintenance by determining vehicle condition through inspection and diagnostic tests.Performs test drives to verify vehicle performance, therefore it is necessary to maintain a clean driving record. A Commercial Driver's License is desired but not puter experience desired.Cleans shop and surrounding work areas.Performs other related duties as assigned.Promotes cooperation and teamwork.Enhances the Service Department and company reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different job requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Willing to train and maintain certifications necessary as ongoing technician training and plies with all company health and safety regulations.Able to embrace our core values and business culture.Certified to perform State Inspections desired but not required.Welding experience is desired but not required.Must have your own hand tools.Must have a minimum of two years experience . ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Completion of a Diesel technician school and certification puter munication skills.Attention to ANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Reports directly to our Truck Service Manager.
