We're seeking an experienced operator to run our state-of-the-art Peddinghaus CNC equipment for structural steel processing. This role offers excellent pay and opportunities for overtime earnings.Primary ResponsibilitiesCNC Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor Peddinghaus CNC beam line equipment for precision structural steel processingMaterial Handling: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move and position steel materials throughout the facilityBlueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication details to ensure accurate machiningQuality Control: Perform steel identification and verification procedures before beginning machining operationsSafety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols while operating heavy machinery and handling steel materialsRequired Experience & SkillsSteel Industry Experience: 1-2 years of experience working with steel fabrication or structural steelCNC Knowledge: Experience operating CNC machinery, preferably in steel processingEquipment Certifications: Valid forklift certification and overhead crane operation experienceBlueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication specificationsMaterial Knowledge: Understanding of steel types, grades, and identification processesSchedule & CompensationRegular Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMOvertime Schedule: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday, plus Saturday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM when neededOvertime Policy: Mandatory overtime with typically one day advance noticeHourly Rate: $21.00 per hour with overtime premium payWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly wage of $21.00Regular overtime opportunities for additional earningsWork with advanced Peddinghaus CNC technologyStable employment in established steel fabrication companyDay shift schedule with early afternoon finishProfessional development in specialized steel processingReady to operate cutting-edge steel fabrication equipment?
