Rides Assistant Trainer Job Type: SeasonalPay Rate: $16.00hr.Category: Ride OperationsLocation: Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas WHAT WE PROVIDE:This is a seasonal position at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, in San Antonio, TX. It features an hourly rate starting at $16.00, with flexible scheduling. We also offer FREE uniforms, Weekly Pay, nationwide FREE park access and parking for yourself and a guest, annual complimentary park tickets for friends and family, 25% off of food and merchandise, access to exclusive employee only events and more!WHAT YOU WILL DO: As the Rides Assistant Trainer, you will create and maintain a safety culture through the continued focus on trainings, trainers and auditing. This will include organizing, planning, and teaching all necessary classes including but not limited to; Certified Safe, and leadership trainings. The trainer will also ensure continuous auditing to uphold all department and iROC standards.HOW YOU WILL DO IT: Leads by example by performing all duties and responsibilities and by promoting Teamwork and an ongoing, supportive learning environment for all Team Members. Ensure iROC Audits and Record Retention are correctly filed and assist operations base as needed. Conduct frequent paperwork audits of all training and operational paperwork Organize monthly safety related in-service trainings for rides leadership to refresh varying topics. Practices, supports, maintains and enforces a total safety culture for all Team Members. Teaching and or ensuring trainer availability for classes including: Certified Safe, Train the Trainer, Lead training, Supervisor training, Supplemental Harness Training and Evacuation Training. Assist management in the execution and organization of Lead in Training and Supervisor in Training programs. Create and maintain an undercover auditing program. Conduct frequent on-ride audits and trainer audits to ensure all operation standards are being met. Creates and maintains a strong team environment to increase area retention, motivation and morale of Team Members. Assists with Senior Leadership and scheduler to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained within the Rides Department. Work with Employment Center on the planning and execution of recruiting events. Coordinate the communication and onboarding of new rides team member through all phases of the hiring process. Coordinates and performs training, and inputting of all training paperwork and iROC certifications. Assist Rides Managerials with On-Ride Certification and Ride Trainer Certification on all rides in the park. Assists Base Operators in their day to day operation to ensure organization and success. Maintains all programs related to Safety, Friendliness, Cleanliness, Appearance and Enhancing Guest Satisfaction and any programs developed to support the Rides Department. Performs all other duties as assigned or as necessary to support the Rides Department and Fiesta Texas. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Must be at least 18 years of age Demonstrates excellent guest service and a strong commitment to the Guest First philosophy. Committed to total safety with proven experience at Fiesta Texas or in the Rides Department. Passionate about teaching, training, and developing team members. Team-oriented leader with a people-first approach. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain. Self-starter with strong planning, multitasking, and attention to detail skills. The availability to work flexible hours and varied shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and essential computer applications. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required OTHER NOTES:All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.
