Growing together. Schedule: This is a 37.5?hour work weekMonday: between 9:00 AM and 8:30 PMTuesday: between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PMWednesday & Thursday: between 10:00 AM and 6:30 PMFriday: between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PMThe final schedule will be determined by the hiring manager upon hire.Location: 650 Merrick Road, Baldwin, NY 11510Primary Responsibilities:Obtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address and insurance informationPerform insurance verification on the date of serviceObtain patient signatures for required documentsConfirms and schedule appointmentsFollow the payment Security policy and procedures according to Optum Medical guidelinesAnswers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; directs calls and takes messagesAbility to maintain a work queue list- complete any pending actions i.e. referrals, scheduling appointmentsPerform referral documentation promptlyUtilizes computer systems to enter access or verify patient data in real - time ensuring accuracy and completeness of informationPerforms certain follow-up services for patients in a prompt and courteous manner, such as scheduling specialist appointmentsAdhere to the standards identified via Sparq regarding Optum Employee PoliciesWork cohesively with fellow employees to achieve specific team goalsComfortable working in high pace environment Assure the continuity of care through scheduling and tracking systemsProvide effective communication to patient family team members and other health care professionals as evidenced by documentation, case conferences, communication notes, and evaluationsResponsible for collecting data directly from patients and referring to provider offices to confirm and create scheduled appointments for patient services prior to hospital dischargeResponds to patient and caregivers' inquiries related to routine and sensitive topics always in a compassionate and respectful mannerGenerates, reviews and analyzes patient data reports and follows up on issues and inconsistencies as necessaryComply with administrative policies to ensure quality of careAll employees are expected to keep abreast of current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPAA and OSHA requirements  Performs other duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group?  Put it all together - competitive base pay, a full and comprehensive benefit program, performance rewards, and a management team who demonstrates their commitment to your success. The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment.
