We invite you to take your first step toward a rewarding career with us!Position Summary: (Same as short job description)Key Responsibilities:In the absence of the Director of Memory Care, be involved in the interviewing of any associate who will be assigned to any of the specialized memory care programs, including RSAs, housekeeping, and activity positionsProvide outstanding customer service to all residents, family members, responsible persons, and visitors of residents in the communityAssist with ensuring memory care program meets all state, federal and other regulationsDemonstrate requisite knowledge, skills and abilities consistent with the duties and responsibilities of this position Personable, reliable, a great communicator and a team playerAble to relate professionally and positively to residents, physicians, government regulators, incoming visitors and associates at all levelsProvide ongoing communication to the Executive Director of Memory Care, Executive Director of Clinical Operations and Executive Director regarding staffing issues or concernsOther responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director of Memory CareAttend monthly associate meetingsAttend bi-monthly regional Memory Care Coordinator meetingsIn the absence of the Executive Director of Memory Care, participate in weekly tracking meetings to assure that daily information and observations by the Memory Care team is utilizedAssist with ensuring, residents are all groomed and dressed properly and according to personal preferences (i.e., jewelry, clothing style, etc.)In the absence of the Executive Director of Memory Care, will provide Habilitation Therapy Training to orientation classesIn the absence of the Executive Director of Memory Care, will provide the Heart Philosophy Training, Basics of Dementia and Wandering and Elopement overview during new hire orientation EducationExperienceLicensureCertification:An associate degree from an accredited college or university; or satisfactory completion of two years of college, with major work in in social work, nursing, psychology, gerontology, therapeutic recreation or related fieldApplicants with two years of full-time experience in the recreation field with an adult population may be consideredMust be a Certified Dementia Practitioner CDP or willing to complete the necessary steps to become certifiedMust possess a passion for working with seniors and improving their quality of lifeA basic understanding of Alzheimers and other dementia-related diseases is essentialExcellent communication, organization and time management skillsBasic typing skills and computer knowledge; familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and creative software Why You'll Love working for Us: Competitive wagesFlexible shiftsGrowth opportunitiesBonus & incentive programsCompetitive Benefits Package: including medical, dental, vision, 401K match, company paid time-off, life insurance policy, insurance deductibles and voluntary Aflac insurance for our full-time employees.Equal Opportunity EmployerProtected VeteransIndividuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
