Schedule: This is a 15?hour?per?week position, scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The role could include Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The final schedule will be determined by the supervisor upon hire.Location: 2800 Marcus Ave Suite 101, Lake Success, NY 11042Primary Responsibilities:Obtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address and insurance informationPerform insurance verification on the date of serviceObtain patient signatures for required documentsUpload a valid Government issued state ID of patient and patient insurance cardsAccurate and complete occupational medicine registration workflowFile and maintain medical recordsConfirms and schedule appointmentsFollow the payment Security policy and procedures according to Optum Medical guidelinesAnswers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; directs calls and takes messagesAbility to maintain a work queue list- complete any pending actions i.e. referrals, scheduling appointmentsPerform referral documentation promptlyWorking daily in the claims edit work queue to correct registration errors for submission to insurance companiesAdhere to the standards identified via Sparq regarding Optum Employee PoliciesWork cohesively with fellow employees to achieve specific team goalsComfortable working in high pace environment Assure the continuity of care through scheduling and tracking systemsNotify clinical staff of schedule changes as they occurComply with administrative policies to ensure quality of careDemonstrate precision and efficiency in scanning documents and monitoring the fax server, retrieving and or scanning documents and assigning to the appropriate electronic chartPerform other related duties and assignments as requiredAll employees are expected to keep abreast of current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPPA and OSHA requirements Work IndependentlyWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group?
