Lawn and Garden Service Technician

Position Specifics:Reports To: Service ManagerSupervises: NoneFLSA Code: Nonexempt Sloan Implement in Mount Horeb is currently looking for talented and motivated individuals to join our team. Experience is preferred but will train the right candidate Purpose: Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer andor dealer-owned turf equipment. Responsibilities:Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on turf equipmentParticipates in Service EDUCATE Training Programs required for the development of skills and knowledge Reviews and explains any maintenance, repairs, or other service concerns directly with the customer andor documents on work orderMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipmentMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignmentsAccounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties Job Requirements:Lawn and Garden Equipment Technical Experience preferred Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual proceduresBasic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipmentProficient oral and written communication skillsAbility to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesAbility to use Service Advisor and basic computer functionsAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyBasic Service Technician Certification preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience requiredValid driver's license required along with a good driving recordMust maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employmentForklift license preferredMust have reliable attendanceAbility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays Full-Time Benefit Packages:Paid Holidays & Vacation TimeHealth, Vision, & Dental InsuranceLife Insurance401K Plan with Company MatchRoutine Performance & Pay ReviewsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Safety Equipment AllowanceCompany Provided UniformsAll benefits subject to change.
