Located in Loveland, OH Salary: $50-$65hrMold & Tooling Engineer Castings - ContractLocation: Loveland, OHCompensation: $50-$65hrRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field3-8+ years of experience in investment casting tooling or mold designStrong knowledge of gatingriser design, solidification principles, and ceramic shellcore behaviorExperience with Ni-based superalloys (e.g., IN718, MAR-M247, Rene alloys)Proficiency in CAD software (NX, SolidWorks) and PLMPDM systems with BOM controlExperience with casting simulation tools (e.g., MAGMA, ProCAST, Flow-3D)Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing in casting, preferably in aerospacedefense (AS9100 environment) and familiarity with DSSX processes and automated production systemsResponsibilities:Lead the design and development of ceramic molds, cores, and gating systems for investment casting applications (EQ, DS, SX)Develop DFMDFA strategies to improve yield, reduce defects, and enhance manufacturabilityIntegrate additive manufacturing technologies (binder jet, SLA, DLP, wax printing) into mold and tooling workflowsUtilize casting simulation tools (e.g., MAGMA, ProCAST) to validate designs and predict defectsCollaborate with process and manufacturing teams to align mold design with pour strategy, thermal behavior, and production capabilitiesTroubleshoot casting defects such as shrinkage, porosity, hot tearing, and inclusionsSupport new product introduction (NPI) and drive rapid iteration through digital and additive workflows#SRGDHExpress Office: Cincinnati (Northwest) 3551 Springdale RoadCincinnati, OH 45251
