JOB TITLE: Injection Mold Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Gardner, MADepartment: MaintenanceDuration: Direct HireSalary: 3rd shift - $30/hr - $35/hrShift: 3rd Shift (with overtime/weekend availability as needed)Supervision: Reports to Maintenance ManagerBenefits: Full company-sponsored benefits package upon hireJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Injection Mold Maintenance Technician to join our Gardner, MA facility on 3rd shift. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting injection molds and related tooling to ensure optimal production uptime and equipment performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates should bring strong technical skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Principal ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative and corrective maintenance on injection molds, tooling, and related equipmentDisassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds to ensure proper operation and longevityTroubleshoot and diagnose mold and tooling issues to identify root causes of defects or malfunctionsMaintain accurate maintenance and repair records, including work orders and tooling logsCollaborate with production and engineering teams to improve mold performance and resolve recurring issuesEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements at all timesAssist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and extend mold/tooling lifeMaintain spare parts and tooling inventory, requesting replacements as neededOperate manual and precision tools such as grinders, lathes, and polishing equipment when requiredAll other duties as assignedRequirements & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school training in tool and die, machining, or related field preferredMinimum 2-4 years of experience in mold maintenance, toolmaking, or injection molding environmentStrong mechanical aptitude with ability to read and interpret blueprints, mold drawings, and technical manualsProficiency in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.)Ability to operate machine shop equipment for mold repair and modificationKnowledge of plastic injection molding processes and tooling designStrong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and qualityAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced settingWillingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as neededWork EnvironmentThis position operates within a high-volume manufacturing facility. Work includes hands-on repair, inspection, and operation of molds and tooling.
