As a Facilities General Technician within the Facilities Team, you will be responsible for conducting general repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance at our Corporate Office and Hubble Lab.This person will work on site from our two Orange County locations 5x per weekResponsibilitiesYour role will involve a diverse array of tasks related to the maintenance of manufacturing facilities at our Hubble Lab, as well as providing comprehensive support to the Flight offices in Orange County, CA. This position demands exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and effective decision-making, along with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Candidates should possess general knowledge of electrical and HVAC systems, along with carpentry and painting experience. You will be required to adhere to preventive maintenance procedures for facilities and manufacturing equipment as directed and must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with damaged or malfunctioning equipment is a key responsibility, which may include equipment such as industrial coffee makers and office furniture fixtures.You will also be tasked with tracking work order status, entering relevant information, and completing tasks within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Limble. Compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency guidelines, and company policies regarding building operations while maintaining safe work practices is imperative.Additional duties will be assigned as necessary, requiring a minimum of four years of related work experience. Candidates should have an extensive understanding of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment utilized in general facility maintenance. The ability to provide constructive feedback, develop creative solutions to problems, and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment is critical.Availability to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends, when necessary, is expected. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities"”both verbal and written"”are required. Candidates must be adept at following operational manuals, installation instructions, sketches, blueprints, and diagrams. Proficiency in standard office software and online programs is essential, as well as the capability to provide on-call support for the Facilities Team. A valid California driver's license must be held and maintained.Required Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience managing a wide array of activities in both a corporate office and manufacturing settingPerforming routine maintenanceIdentifying areas for significant repairs and coordinating those needs with Facilities management.Proficient customer service skills and a solid understanding of corporate office etiquette are essential.Additional Requirements Onsite coordination within the larger facilities organization and assisting with the reallocation of company assets within buildings.Required qualifications include basic mechanical skills for operating tools and equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and forklifts, along with a foundational knowledge of electrical and HVAC systems, and competence in carpentry and painting.Active involvement in processes aimed at continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and cost reduction is valued. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of reliable attendance.
