Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to join an outstanding client who is a recognized leader in operating, developing, and supporting retail convenience centers and fuel station properties.The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day construction and successful completion of all projects. Primary responsibilities for this position entail assisting with scope of work, budgeting, bidding, construction supervision and project turnover.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESOversee and manage construction projects from conception to completionExecute construction of projects to meet or reduce anticipated job costs. Seek opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality of construction, under remittance, or delayed timelinesAssist with completion of final construction/permit plan setsSolicit bids from contractors and other vendorsReview all construction drawings, schedules, and material orders and provide timely feedback to any issues or concernsCoordinate with Superintendents and crews to meet schedule requirements and project timelines.Manage contractors, subcontractors, state agencies, and other field personnel as needed, in a manner that fosters good relationshipsVisit the job site regularly to evaluate the sold design for issues and to ensure compliance with building and safety regulationsSubmit a weekly status report for each project to leadership, to include (but not limited to) progress photos, budget, progress to-date and expected completion schedule for all jobs to stakeholdersAdhere to Company Bid Policy when selecting general contractorsAnalyze, manage and mitigate risksEnsure safety requirements are maintained on all job sites in accordance with OSHAProcess requests for information (RFIs) and change order requests, ensuring files contain all necessary documentationFrequent travel required (approximately 50%); limited overnight travelOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSStrong attention to detail and excellent communication skillsA high standard for customer service with a people first mentality; every guest and team member deserve a great experienceExperience in construction project management software preferred, and other tools in normal use for construction, design and real estate-related work preferred A sense of urgency balanced with an eye for quality and detail Ability to flourish in a fast-paced and fluid environmentAbility to monitor resources, job schedules, and materials in an environment of multiple competing demandsStrong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to coordinate people + tasksStrong decision-making and problem-solving skillsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree preferred 3+ years experience of project management in construction, architecture/design and/or real estate developmentExperience in retail, convenience stores with food concepts, underground storage tanks, or commercial experience preferred
