The role requires deep expertise in international and domestic credit analysis, financial modeling, and cross-border risk assessment. You will underwrite complex credit facilities with a strong emphasis on trade finance, C&I lending, and commercial real estate (CRE) while ensuring strict adherence to credit policy and applicable regulatory standards.Why this opportunity?Culture: Collegial, growth-oriented, and internationally collaborativeWorkplace:Hybrid (following a 90-day on-site immersion in Miami, FL)Function: Lead credit underwriting for international and domestic clients with a focus on trade finance, C&I lending, and CRE, guiding risk decisions across marketsRequirements:5+ years of credit analysis experience in a banking environmentBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CFA, CBCA, or MBA preferredBilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency"”verbal and writtenExpertise in international credit risk, cross-border lending, trade finance, and CREStrong proficiency with Moody's CreditLens, Bankway, AccuSystems, and ExcelExperience preparing credit memoranda and presenting to credit committeesDescription:Conduct financial and risk analysis on domestic and international borrowersUnderwrite credit facilities including CRE (up to $10MM), C&I, trade finance, leasing, and correspondent bankingEvaluate macroeconomic, sovereign, and political risks impacting cross-border lending and assign/support internal ratingsPrepare detailed credit memoranda and present findings to senior leadership/credit committeeCollaborate with Relationship Managers, Legal, and Compliance throughout due diligence and documentationMonitor collateral valuation, covenants, and portfolio performance; support credit policy developmentUtilize DSCR, stress testing, and scenario analysis within established modeling frameworksReport to the Credit Manager in a high-visibility role with clear growth opportunitiesWhat Success Looks Like:You deliver clear, data-driven analyses that strengthen credit decisions.You balance risk management with business growth across trade finance, C&I, and CRE.You present with confidence to credit committees and senior leadership.You build trust with U.S. and Latin American clients through bilingual expertise.
