We specialize in commercial, industrial, and government-funded projects, including schools, public buildings, and infrastructure work.We're looking for an Estimating Coordinator to join our tight-knit team. This is a full-time, on-site position working in our El Cajon, CA office. This role will primarily support the estimating department"”working directly with our Estimator to prepare bids, coordinate subcontractors, and manage proposal documentation. Because we are a small company, this position may also assist with project startup tasks (such as pre-construction RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and O&M manuals) to ensure a smooth handoff into projects.What You'll DoEstimating & Preconstruction (Primary Focus)Work closely with the Estimator to review drawings and specifications with emphasis on plumbing/pipefitting scope.Perform quantity takeoffs; develop and organize detailed cost estimates.Build bid packages, solicit/evaluate quotes, and track bid schedules.Maintain historical pricing and scope sheets; assist with value engineering.Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to gather and level proposals.Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks to gather project details.Prepare final bid packages and support proposal submissions.Project Startup & Limited Coordination (Secondary Support)Prepare and track pre-construction RFIs and submittals during project handoff.Review submittals for compliance with project specifications before forwarding for approval.Maintain a detailed submittal log to ensure timely submissions and avoid construction delays.Support with change order logs, cost tracking, and documentation as needed.Assist with O&M manuals, warranties, final submittals, and closeout deliverables.What You BringRequired: Plumbing and/or pipefitting experience (field or estimating).2+ years in estimating, project coordination, or APM role (mechanical preferred).Experience with government (NAVFAC/federal) and commercial projects a plus.Project HQ (or similar), Bluebeam, and MS Office proficiency.Highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable with bid deadlines.Strong communication skills and a collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.What We OfferSalary range: $65,000 - $85,000 (DOE)Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPTO and paid holidaysA diverse mix of projects"”federal, commercial, and industrialGrowth path in estimatingA tight-knit, family-style culture where your impact is seen and valued
