Construction Cost Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation. You will play a critical role in budgeting, bidding, and planning, ensuring projects are delivered within scope and budget.Responsibilities:Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimatesDetermine key variables for cost and other estimates (labor, materials, equipment, time, etc.)Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and vendors to obtain necessary informationConduct quantity take-offs and pricing for all construction divisionsPrepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractorsCreate detailed and organized bid packages and participate in the bidding processReview and update estimates as project details evolve or changeProvide support during contract negotiations and project execution phasesQualifications:Proven experience (3+ years preferred) as a cost estimator in the construction industryStrong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and market pricingProficient in estimation softwareStrong attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with commercial or high-rise construction projectsFamiliarity with local building codes and regulationsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
