Job Title: Patient Registrar - SurgicalLocation: Flushing, NY 11355Assignment Duration: 26 WeeksSchedule: Monday - Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PMPay Rate: $20 - $23 per hour (based on experience)Job Description:We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Patient Registrar - Surgical to join a busy healthcare team in Flushing, NY. This individual will be responsible for patient scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and front-end administrative functions within a surgical department. A strong background in healthcare registration, attention to detail, and familiarity with EMR systems (preferably EPIC) is essential.Key Responsibilities:Schedule surgical and procedural appointments accurately and efficientlyVerify insurance eligibility and benefits for imaging, surgical procedures, and medicationsObtain prior authorizations for imaging and medications as requiredPerform accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date patient records in the EMR systemWork closely with patients, providers, and insurance companies to resolve any coverage or authorization issuesMaintain high standards of confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulationsProvide professional, courteous, and empathetic customer service to patients and familiesCollaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure optimal patient experience and workflowQualifications:High School Diploma or GED (Required)Minimum of 4 years of experience in a healthcare administrative or patient registration role (Required)Prior experience scheduling procedures and obtaining prior authorizations for imaging and medications (Required)Experience with insurance verification and benefits eligibility (Required)Experience using EPIC or similar Electronic Medical Record systems (Preferred)Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitask and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced environmentPride Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors
