Director of Financial Planning

Dynamic, mission driven company is looking for a Director of Finance to oversee all aspects of financial management. This role is ideal for a strategic finance leader passionate about making a community impact while ensuring financial strength and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Lead the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reportingOversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payrollManage preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAPEnsure compliance with regulatory, grant, and funding requirementsPartner with the executive team on strategic financial planning and organizational growth initiativesOversee audits, tax filings, and relationships with external auditors and financial institutionsImplement process improvements and strengthen internal controlsMentor and develop finance staff to support professional growth and high performanceQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership roleExperience in nonprofit, or real estate development strongly preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and grant complianceProven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive process improvementsExceptional communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
