By prioritizing coherence in design strategies, inventiveness, and determination we empower our team to use originality and imagination to ensure our projects lead through cutting-edge design.We are currently seeking a Job Captain in our Costa Mesa, CA office.About the PositionAssist with managing projects from construction documents through construction administration stages.Able to review consultant drawings for Quality Assurance and Quality ControlProficient and have a solid understanding of building construction and the different componentsAble to collaborate and resolve multi-disciplinary consultant issues without compromising the designAble to implement and review drawings in conjunction with the specific standards inherent to the studioEnsures drawings meet the design intentEnsures the drawings are fully coordinatedWork with Project Managers to resolve design issues with creative and practical solutionsSkills / Requirements:Experience in construction administrationExperience working with different jurisdictional agenciesExperience in implementing zoning, planning, and building codes and standardsStrong leadership, organization, and communication skillsAbility to collaborate with the project team within the studioAble to manage multiple priorities and multiple projects simultaneouslyBasic understanding and proficiency using the following software: AutoCAD and/or REVIT, Sketch Up, Adobe Suite, MS OfficeExperience and Knowledge:Minimum of 5 years industry experience4-year Architectural degree preferred and/or combination of required education and experienceIntermediate understanding of building codes, including national and state local codesSpecialized knowledge of various product types, code requirements, and construction practices and how to apply, detail, and specify themSALARY/WAGESWe offer an extensive benefits package for this position including:Expected Salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $89,000.00 (based on experience)Medical/Dental/VisionPaid vacation, sick leave, and holidays401k Retirement
