With a reputation for quality, integrity, and delivering complex projects for school districts, healthcare providers, and public entities, we are seeking a Preconstruction Estimator/Director to join their team and preconstruction efforts on high-profile projects.Position SummaryThe Preconstruction Estimator/Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of preconstruction, estimating, and early project planning. This individual will partner closely with clients, architects, and project executives to develop accurate budgets, detailed estimates, and preconstruction strategies that position projects for successful delivery. The role requires experience with large-scale general contractors and a strong background in DSA and/or healthcare projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the preconstruction and estimating team for multiple projects simultaneously, from conceptual through GMP and final budgetsPrepare detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, bid packages, and subcontractor scopes for DSA and healthcare projectsAnalyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and constructabilityDevelop value engineering options and strategies to maintain design intent while managing cost and scheduleOversee subcontractor prequalification, solicitation, and bid levelingProvide leadership and mentorship to junior estimators and preconstruction staffCollaborate with operations and project management teams to ensure smooth transition from preconstruction to executionMaintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partnersRepresent the company in pre-bid meetings, interviews, and client presentationsQualifications10+ years of progressive experience in estimating and preconstruction with a large general contractorProven experience leading complex projects over $30M+ in valueBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferredAdvanced knowledge of estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, WinEst, Sage, ProEst, Procore, Bluebeam)Ability to manage multiple pursuits with competing deadlinesStrong leadership, communication, and client-facing skillsDemonstrated ability to negotiate and build relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractorsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary range of $160,000 - $200,000+ DOEPerformance-based bonus structureComprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth within a respected, expanding general contractor
