Drainage Senior Project Engineer - Project Manager Scalar Consulting Group, now part of GFT Infrastructure, Inc., is looking for a Drainage Project Engineer - Project Manager position in West Palm Beach, Tampa, Maitland, or Tallahassee, FL office. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance to one of our Florida offices. This is a full-time position.What you'll be challenged to do:As a Drainage Senior Project Engineer - Project Manager, you will perform detailed design and preparation of construction plans, specifications and estimates on highway projects including drainage stormwater management system design for FDOT, County and municipal transportation facilities including airports, interstate, turnpike, urban, and rural roadways, drainage for Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation (3R) projects, storm sewer network analysis, pond siting and location hydraulic analysis of existing roadway culverts and floodplain statements analysis for PDE studies, and Bridge Hydraulic Report (BHR) analysis preparation., including scour analysis. Permitting and Project Management experience a plus.In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Leads a team of drainage engineers, QCs their work, and guides them in drainage decisions and design.Lead the development of drainage impact studies, master plans and engineering reports Lead the development of project design concepts, criteria, construction plans and reviews project documents for conformity and quality assuranceWork with clients and other disciplines to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by the scope of work.Knowledgeable and skilled in interpretation of engineering design standards, specifications, and criteria.Assist in client relations.Act as EOR for drainage designs and reports.Develop plan quantity computations and construction cost estimates.Prepare conceptual design alternatives for Project Development and Environment (PD&E) studies.Develop presentations for project pursuits and public involvement activities.Provide design and constructability plan and report reviews.Coordinate with clients and project team members, prepare meeting notes, and support the preparation of progress reportsIdentify project risks and develop viable recommendations for resolutionSupport the roadway design PM in pursuit of new projects from existing and new Scalar clients in drainage.What you will bring to our firm:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is requiredProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license 12+ Years of relevant experience involving Drainage ProjectsExperience with Project proposals and Presentations What we prefer you bring: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MicroStation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoads Designer and ArcGIS.Experience with ICPR, HEC-RAS, WSPRO, HY-8 and related stormwater software, both 1-D and 2-D, Compensation:The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $185,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
