Job Title: Purchasing AgentLocation: Costa Mesa, CAStart date: ASAPSalary: 60-70K Job Summary:The Purchasing Agent is responsible for managing inventory, placing stock and replenishment orders, minimizing back orders, and maintaining fulfillment rate goals.This position collaborates and works with Brand Managers and the sales team to ensure inventory levels are appropriate to meet the needs of our customers.Job Responsibilities:Deliver on Supply Chain KPIs including but not limited to stocking levels, inventory turns, fulfillment rates, and back orders.Ensure alignment between Brand activity and finance to deliver on key cash initiatives while meeting/exceeding forecast.Manage inventory turns, phaseout/EOL inventory, and MRB for assigned brands.Analyze and report on inventory levels of finished goods and raw materials. Assist in tracking trends of increasing or decreasing sales & consumption to forecast future demand.Assist manufacturing teams by reviewing BOMs and work orders to ensure production flow is constant.Review consumption levels for manufacturing facilities and display the ability to manage multiple vendors without difficulty.Work with vendors to negotiate pricing and lead times for orders. Ensure that orders are placed with enough advanced planning to meet customer demand.Hold vendors accountable to confirmed lead times. Update ship and in stock dates in ERP system for increased visibility in other departments.Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments from vendors and all Huish Outdoors operating locations. This includes providing all proper documentation to both our trade partners and internal teams.Responsible for processing Vendor RAs in ERP system in a timely manner to ensure proper credit is issued to company and inventory levels are accurate.Responsible for proper receiving of all inventory shipments in the warehouse. This includes properly assigning all duties and landed costs to properly burden inventory.Create inter-company transfer orders for items needed between warehouses to alleviate over/under stock.Work closely with the warehouse team to maintain accurate inventory levels. Perform cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and assembly builds.Work closely with vendors to provide raw materials on time and consistently, working with Quality Control to ensure raw materials meet specifications and demand.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in related field with 3-5 years related work experienceExperience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite highly preferredIntermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on ExcelAble to communicate clearly and concisely with vendors and able to provide constructive feedbackExcellent organizational and prioritization skills preferredTravel expectations - none.
