This is a unique opportunity for students passionate about medicine, clinical research, and data-driven healthcare innovation to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.Role DescriptionAs a Clinical Informatics Intern, you will:Analyze patient scenarios and natural language queries to determine clinical trial eligibility.Annotate and validate clinical data to support the training of machine learning models.Provide feedback on usability, accuracy, and effectiveness of our trial-discovery platform.Key ResponsibilitiesEligibility Assessment: Compare patient case descriptions to trial inclusion/exclusion criteria and document match decisions.Clinical Data Curation: Organize, clean, and annotate clinical datasets to improve AI model performance.Quality Assurance: Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or edge cases in eligibility logic and recommend improvements.Preferred QualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Science, Molecular Genetics, Biology, Neuroscience, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.Familiarity with clinical research terminology (e.g., ECOG performance status, histology types, prior lines of therapy).Strong written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.Comfortable reading and interpreting scientific or medical documents.Skills You'll GainA deeper understanding of clinical trial protocol design and eligibility criteria.Hands-on experience with healthcare data interpretation and annotation workflows.Exposure to AI-driven decision support systems and natural language processing (NLP).Internship DetailsLocation: In-Person (Columbus, OH) or HybridDuration: 8-12 weeksCommitment: 10-15 hours per weekCompensation: Unpaid
