Controller

Our client is one of Atlanta's top commercial contractors. They have also been named Best Places to work for their construction company category. We are seeking an experienced, impactful Controller to lead the accounting & finance team. This role will report directly to the CEO and the company board. The ideal candidate Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controller for a small to medium size business, construction industry experience preferred, and including percentage of completion accounting (ASC 606 revenue recognition) Strong working knowledge of GAAPCPA is highly desirable, bonus points for CCIFPAbility to wear multiple hats and thrive in a fast-paced environmentLead with empathy, authenticity and integrityProvide mentorship and coaching to develop team members' skills and careersInspire confidence and accountability through clear, decisive leadershipExperience with ERPs and payroll software Responsibilities Treasury management and forecasting401(k) management and liaison with investment advisorLiaison with external CPA firm for annual review and tax preparation, including management of estimated tax payments Ensure compliance with tax regulationsPrepare financials and other reports for shareholders and leadership teamEvaluate, improve and implement internal controls and accounting processes to mitigate risk and create efficienciesCreate budget for SG&A expenses and maintain full company budgetCollaborate with operations on forecasting and draft proforma financialsOversee accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely receipts and payments to trade partnersOversee the payroll function, including managing payroll software and job costing in the ERP and enhance use and functionality of system and administer licensesManage property & casualty insurance and benefit renewalsAnnual business licenses and certificationsNegotiate software renewal contractsManage client compliance requirementsOversee financial reviews of subcontractor prequalificationsCollaborate with marketing and operations for cross functional deliverables Compensation: $180,000 - $240,000 SE510758053
