Job Title: Corporate Controller Department: Finance Location: Atlanta, GAOverviewMackenzie Stuart is partnered with a high-growth, PE-backed Dental Services Organization (DSO) seeking a hands-on Corporate Controller to help build out scalable finance infrastructure and support rapid national expansion.This is an ideal opportunity for a team player who thrives in fast-paced, multi-site environments and is comfortable wearing multiple hats. The Corporate Controller will report directly to the CFO, lead a team including two Senior Accountants, Accounts Payable, and offshore resources, and play a critical role in driving timely month-end close, audit readiness, and process improvement. Experience in dental or relevant healthcare sectors is highly valued.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all core controller functions, including month-end close, cash flow, audit, and group consolidation, ensuring quick and accurate reporting.Build out and enhance finance infrastructure, processes, and controls to support ongoing growth, acquisitions, and integration of new practices.Lead and develop a finance team (2 Senior Accountants, Accounts Payable, offshore support), fostering collaboration and accountability.Maintain statutory records and ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax).Manage year-end audit process and all external reporting to lenders and stakeholders.Support M&A activity, including acquisition accounting, integration, and familiarity with financial models.Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and reporting accuracy.Act as a key business partner to the CFO and executive team, providing financial insights for strategic decision-making.QualificationsCPA qualification required; (ACA preferred).5+ years' experience in financial management, ideally within dental, healthcare, or multi-site operations.Proven track record as a hands-on controller, building out finance infrastructure in fast-paced, high-growth environments.Experience managing teams and working with both onshore and offshore resources.Strong technical skills in finance systems and advanced Excel.Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.Experience with audit, core controller responsibilities, and M&A processes.Background in PE-backed or high-growth businesses is advantageous.
