About the RoleGoodpack is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our Americas team, based in Houston. This role works closely with the Global Procurement and Freight teams at our Singapore headquarters, supporting regional procurement activities while aligning with global strategies and standards. You will play a key role in managing logistics sourcing, driving cost efficiencies, and strengthening supplier performance across the Americas.KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:General Procurement:Manage end-to-end procurement activities across the Americas region, covering logistics and indirect spend categories (e.g. IT, office equipment)Execute and ensure compliance with procurement policies, processes, and governance standards in alignment with HQLead sourcing initiatives including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIsApply Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles to drive cost savings, cost control, and value creationSupport and manage contract lifecycle activities, ensuring visibility, compliance, and accountabilityEnsure negotiations follow global procurement standards, approval thresholds, and best practices to minimise cost leakage and maximise valueMaintain and manage procurement data in SAP, including rate uploads and tradelane recordsEstablish and monitor rate governance to ensure alignment between negotiated rates and actual costsCollaborate with global procurement teams to implement best practices and standardisationPartner with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, HR) to align procurement strategies with business needsMonitor market trends, economic conditions, and supply risks to inform sourcing strategiesLogistics Procurement & Vendor Management (Trucking & Depots)Manage and develop relationships with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), including trucking and depot partnersNegotiate competitive rates and commercial terms with logistics providers across the regionDrive supplier performance through KPI tracking, regular reviews, and continuous improvement initiativesDeliver procurement savings through effective vendor management and strategic sourcingAnalyse logistics spend to identify optimisation and cost reduction opportunitiesEnsure service reliability, cost competitiveness, and compliance from logistics vendorsReview and improve rate management processes (updates, adjustments, extensions, approvals) to eliminate inefficienciesLead supplier review processes to ensure ongoing performance improvement and value deliveryInterface regularly with internal and external stakeholders on logistics and operational issuesIdentify and develop regional supplier alternatives to optimise cost and resilienceREQUIREMENTS:Bilingual in Spanish/Portuguese preferred but not requiredBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably within logistics or supply chainStrong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and trend analysisProficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; SAP experience is an advantageExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work effectively across regions and culturesSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesKey CompetenciesStakeholder management and influencing skillsStrong communication and collaborationResults-driven with a continuous improvement mindsetProcess-oriented with strong execution capabilityIndependent, resourceful, and proactive team playerPosition type, and typical hours of work:This is a full-time position. 40hrs per week, we have a working arrangement with 4 days a week office presence for all office staff in Houston, Monday and Friday are mandatory in the office.About GoodpackGoodpack is an innovator in developing safe and cost-efficient transportation and storage solutions for challenging payloads, including natural rubber, food and liquids and specialty industrial goods such as tires and automotive parts.
