We have experts in MEP, Fire Protection, and Structural who tackle the technical issues, ensuring high standards and professional integrity.About the RoleIndividuals assigned to this classification will perform engineering calculations and must be able to layout and design systems in accordance with established policies, standards, procedures, code and shall exercise judgment in their application with minimal to no supervision.ResponsibilitiesPerform engineering calculations and layout and design systems.Apply practical knowledge and experience to resolve problems and conflicts related to assigned projects.Make independent decisions for engineering tasks on assigned projects.Occasionally supervise subordinate personnel or assist other engineers or designers.Knowledge of discipline specific codes and other building codes.Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Good leadership skills to educate clients on design and project requirements.Meet with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to discuss design scope, schedule, budget, phasing, site issues, and design review issues.Work with Project Manager and Project Engineer to prepare design budgets and schedules.Estimate discipline man-hours required to complete design requirements.Provide leadership and assign design job functions to designated designers.Implement system types as selected by the Project Engineer and provide complete construction documents.Review preliminary and final engineering design with other disciplines.Perform a final review of the engineering drawings.Client contact and quality assurance on projects in coordination with technical manager or project engineer.Mentor and motivate Engineering designers I, II, and III.Set high standards and seek the best interest of the company and client.Ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design.Additional duties as required.QualificationsA Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 8 years of work experience.Shall be a licensed engineer (PE).Required SkillsActive ListeningCritical ThinkingProficient in REVITProficient in Engineering Modeling toolsResearching and writing reports/opinionsExcellent written and oral communicationProficient in Microsoft Office toolsExcellent Time ManagementEquipment selectionExcellent judgement and decision makingExcellent management of personnel resources - Motivating, developing and directing team membersPay range and compensation packageSuperior Benefit Packages for the whole family and pets.Generous 401(K) company match.Generous PTO.Casual "uncorporate" working environment.Employee Entertainment Benefits Discount Program.License renewals 100% paid by company.Professional membership renewals 100% paid by company.Continuing education lunch-n-learns and industry convention attendance encouraged.Sign on bonus.Relocation available.Tuition Reimbursement Program.Company sponsored charity events.Fully staffed Permitting department.Highly skilled Designers in our Design Department.Equal Opportunity StatementNothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
