Seeking Safety Coordinator for large MEP Fabrication Shop supporting a Data Center in Columbus, Ohio.CompensationThis is a salaried role. Pay is dependent on experience.Job SiteFabrication shop with potential to fill in on site as needed.Position Overview:We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to support operations at a warehouse facility tied to alarge-scale data center project. This role will focus on overseeing safety for materialreceiving, staging, and outbound logistics. The environment will involve frequent use offorklifts, telehandlers, and trailer loading/unloading activities.This individual will play a key role in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouseoperation while working closely with site leadership, operators, and subcontractors.Key Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day safety oversight for warehouse operations including materialreceiving, staging, and outbound logisticsMonitor and enforce safe operation of forklifts, telehandlers, and other materialhandling equipmentConduct and coordinate operator training for forklifts and Mobile Elevating WorkPlatforms (MEWP), including hands-on evaluations and documentationEnsure all equipment operators are properly trained, evaluated, and authorized perOSHA and site requirementsConduct routine safety inspections of equipment, work areas, and storage practicesLead daily safety briefings / toolbox talksEnsure proper traffic flow and pedestrian safetyIdentify hazards and implement corrective actionsSupport incident investigations and near-miss reportingMaintain training records and compliance documentationAssist with JHAs, SOPs, and inspection logsWork closely with site leadership to align safety with project goalsQualifications:OSHA 510 REQUIRED2+ years of safety experience in construction, warehouse, or industrial environmentsExperience with forklift and/or MEWP trainingStrong understanding of material handling equipment safetyStrong communication skills and field presencePreferred Experience:Data center or mission-critical project experienceHigh-volume warehouse or logistics environmentsExperience delivering operator training and evaluationsWork Environment:Active warehouse and yard setting with high equipment traffic and a fast-paced materialflow environment.What Success Looks Like:Safe and efficient material flowWell-trained and competent operatorsStrong engagement with warehouse staffProactive hazard identification Clear communication and accountability
