A leading general contractor is looking to hire a Senior Safety Manager for a marquee project in Rochester, MN. You will be responsible for pushing forward the safety program at a project level to ensure a leading safety culture across the project. The Role:Undertake job site inspections, accident investigations and audits as deemed necessary - putting forward corrective actions to continually develop the safety program and cultureWork in partnership with the Regional Safety Director in highlighting key safety metrics/trends on the jobsite, which will be reported back to senior leadershipLead and mentor a team of safety professionals working on the projectConduct new hire-orientation and implement training programs in compliance with all OSHA requirements Engage with all operational leadership, job-site teams, sub-contractors and the client in regards to safety related matters - acting as the SME for any issues that may ariseThe Candidate:A minimum of 5 years proven experience managing safety on major construction projects. Commercial high-rise experience desiredCHST or similar certification (required)Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Quality or related discipline (preferred)A strong communicator who can engage with both key internal and external stakeholdersBased near Rochester, MN and happy to travel to the job-site daily
