The OpportunityWe are looking for a high-urgency, execution-driven Carrier Sales & Operations Representative who knows how to cover freight, build carrier relationships, and solve problems in real time.This is not a passive tracking role. You will be expected to take ownership of loads, secure capacity in tight markets, negotiate effectively, and ensure flawless execution from pickup to delivery.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where decisions matter, speed wins, and accountability is non-negotiable.What You'll DoSource, vet, and secure carrier capacity to cover customer freightNegotiate rates while protecting margin and service standardsManage loads from tender through delivery, ensuring proactive communication at every stageBuild and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners across key lanes and modesTrack shipments, resolve issues in real time, and prevent service failures before they happenCollaborate closely with sales to support customer growth and executionMaintain accurate load data, tracking, and documentation within TMS systemsEnsure compliance with DOT, safety, and internal operating standardsWhat You Bring1-3+ years of freight brokerage, carrier sales, or operations experienceProven ability to cover loads consistently in competitive marketsStrong negotiation skills with a clear understanding of market rates and margin impactHigh sense of urgency, ownership mindset, and ability to execute under pressureDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple loads simultaneouslyEffective communicator with both carriers and internal teamsExperience with TMS platforms (McLeod preferred) and standard logistics toolsWorking knowledge of DOT regulations and carrier compliance preferredWhy Join Makt-TransPerformance-driven culture that rewards execution and accountabilityOpportunity to grow into senior operations or leadership rolesStrong support from sales and leadership to drive successFull benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTOAdditional DetailsOn-call rotation every 3-4 weeksOccasional weekend support based on customer needsThis role requires working on-site in Atlanta, GANote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
