Manufacturing Group Leader (Production / Supply Chain / Quality)Location: Lockport, NYWork Schedule: Onsite, rotating shifts requiredEmployment Type: Contract (12 months) with potential for extension or conversionPay Rate: $50-$54/hourPosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Group Leader to oversee daily operations within a production, quality, or supply chain environment. This role is responsible for leading teams, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a proven track record of supporting operational excellence, safety, and team development.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise production, quality, or supply chain teams to meet operational goalsManage daily production plans and adjust operations as needed to meet schedule requirementsTrain, mentor, and develop team members using standardized work methodsMonitor and maintain quality standards and support resolution of quality issuesPromote and enforce safe work practices and workplace safety complianceDrive continuous improvement and productivity initiativesCoordinate personnel, materials, and equipment to support operational efficiencyBuild and maintain strong working relationships with employees and leadershipIdentify process issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrenceSupport process improvements using lean manufacturing and variation reduction principlesManage performance, provide coaching, and address employee concerns when necessaryMaintain operational documentation and communicate department goalsRequired QualificationsMinimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environmentExperience managing people and addressing performance or operational issuesStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environmentBasic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, documentation systems)High School Diploma or equivalentWillingness to work rotating shifts and weekends as requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience in manufacturing, production, quality, or supply chain operationsExperience supervising employees in a union or structured workforce environmentKnowledge of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principlesExperience with process improvement or throughput optimization initiativesBackground in automotive, industrial, or high-volume manufacturing environmentsMilitary leadership experienceWork EnvironmentManufacturing facility environmentExposure to varying temperatures and industrial noise levelsRegular standing, walking, and movement throughout the shiftAbility to lift materials up to approximately 40 lbs as neededUse of required personal protective equipment (PPE)Pride Global offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
