This role involves close collaboration with fabrication partners and cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept through volume manufacturing.A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including healthcare, retirement plans, and potential work authorization support.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and optimize photodiode epitaxial structures for high-performance optoelectronic applicationsDevelop mask layouts for device fabrication and integrationAnalyze device characterization data and correlate performance trends with design parametersCollaborate with epitaxy, process integration, packaging, and test teams across the full product development lifecycleLead or support failure analysis to identify root causes of electrical, optical, or reliability issuesSupport wafer-level characterization, reliability studies, and process optimization effortsWork cross-functionally to improve manufacturability and production yieldOccasional travel to support collaboration with partners and manufacturing sitesQualificationsPh.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related5+ years of industry experience in optoelectronic or semiconductor device development preferredHands-on experience in photodiode design and development requiredStrong understanding of device physics, modeling, and performance trade-offsExperience with epitaxial processes, wafer fabrication, packaging, testing, and reliability/failure analysisDemonstrated ability to support designs through development into scalable manufacturingStrong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary engineering teamsSelf-driven, detail-oriented, and dependable in a fast-paced technical environment
