Job Title: Processing Technician 2Location: Milwaukee, WI 53223Duration: Direct-Hire/ Full-TimeNote:Shifts:1st shift - 7 am - 3 pm (Monday - Friday)2nd Shift - 3 pm - 11 pm (Monday - Friday)3rd Shift - 11 pm - 7 am (Sunday evening - Friday morning)Shift Differential: +$1.00/ hr. when working 2nd shift+$2.00/hr. when working 3rd shiftJob Description:Job Summary:Under the direction of the Lead Manufacturing Supervisor, the Processing Technician II supports injection molding operations by performing machine start ups, troubleshooting processing issues, ensuring quality standards, and acting as a liaison between Production and Process Engineering.This role also supports Client's Quality and EHS certifications by following all corporate policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend solutions for processing issuesStart up injection molding presses after mold changes, material changes, repairs, rehangs, or mold cleansMonitor process parameters and ensure alarms are activeSubmit first piece samples to the Quality LabPerform material changes and set scalesManage regrind and scrapAssist with automation alarms and troubleshootingAccurately enter downtime and scrap data in the Mattec Process Monitoring SystemWork with Industrial Engineering to ensure proper process documentationParticipate in technical meetings and support continuous improvementCommunicate using company radios while following radio etiquetteMaintain housekeeping standards (purge, scrap parts, equipment storage)Support Quality, EHS, and certification requirementsEvaluate current processing conditions and recommend improvementsDevelop procedures and training/reference materialsSupport internal and external audit preparednessPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively at all organizational levelsDetail oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently or in a team environmentStrong computer skillsExtensive knowledge of scientific injection molding principlesKnowledge of DOE and SPC principlesProven ability to prioritize and multitask3+ years of experience as a Process Technician (preferred)Excellent mechanical aptitudeStrong time management and interpersonal skillsAdvanced injection molding education preferredEducation:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Physical Requirements:Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbsAbility to stand, walk, and work for extended periods of time
