Quality Assurance Manager Location: San FranciscoSalary: $80K (exempt) Direct Hire | HybridKey ResponsibilitiesLead quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance across behavioral health programs.Monitor compliance with licensing, accreditation, and payer requirements (e.g., HIPAA, Medi-Cal, Joint Commission, state and county agencies).Oversee incident reporting processes, including review, feedback, and preparation of required leadership and board reports.Conduct internal chart audits and support external audits, peer review, and utilization review activities.Partner with clinical, operations, IT, and finance teams to support accurate documentation, billing, authorizations, and data integrity.Provide training, guidance, and consultation to clinical staff and leaders on documentation, compliance, incident reporting, and billing standards.Ensure HIPAA and privacy compliance related to clinical records and information requests.Collaborate cross-functionally and with external partners to respond to regulatory requests and support continuous quality improvement.QualificationsPrior experience in behavioral health quality management, regulatory compliance, or utilization reviewStrong understanding of Medi-Cal and Joint Commission requirements related to behavioral health services, documentation, and billingComfortable working with county and regulatory partners and leading cross-functional initiativesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, analytical, and detail-orientedWillingness to be a hands-on supervisor (may include functional or project-based oversight)Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populationsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic data/reporting systemsSearch managed by: Carly DilworthBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
