We put the unity in "opportunity.Opportunity Snapshot:Compensation: $34.00/hourLocation: Houston, TXWork Schedule: M-F / 40 hours +Assignment Duration: 12 months+Benefits: Comprehensive insurance including medical, vision and dental, and 401kQualifications:3+ years of drafting and design experience using AutoCAD softwareDemonstrated experience interpreting and maintaining piping drawings, mechanical drawings, pipeline schematics, and alignment sheetsExperience reading and interpreting engineering documents including P&IDs, PFDs, plot plans, and pipeline route dataAbility to manage multiple drafting tasks across concurrent projectsStrong understanding of industry drafting practices for industrial, plant, or pipeline environmentsProficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working within engineering document management systemsTechnical diploma or two-year degree in drafting, design technology, or related fieldPrior experience in midstream oil & gas, pipeline operations, or facility designFamiliarity with CAD standards, data extraction, and drawing quality assurance processesInterest in utilizing software enhancements and/or AI to streamline simple work tasksExperience with conduit, cable schedules, tagging, and I&E coordination is a plusHigh School GED or diplomaResponsibilities:Revise and maintain piping design drawings, mechanical design drawings, pipeline alignment sheets, instrumentation & electrical drawings, etc., using AutoCADReview and edit drawings, such as PFDs, P&IDs, general equipment layouts, facility plot plans, equipment/instrument lists, etc., consistent with industry and internal standardsIdentify, package, and maintain pipeline alignment sheets, horizontal directional drill (HDD) information, and related documentation for operational and regulatory useProcess drawing updates, transfers, and revision control in accordance with established proceduresExtract and organize drawing metadata such as equipment lists, valve lists, instrument lists, and data sheetsMaintain accurate records of document changes, transmittals, correspondence, and drawing historySupport multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating drafting and design inputs across internal stakeholders and third-party engineering partnersParticipate in project meetings as needed to understand scope, gather data, and provide drafting-related input, and provide guidance on compliance with Enterprise StandardsCommunicate with vendors or third-party drafters to resolve CAD issues such as missing or conflicting external references (Xrefs)Assist with file bundling, transmittals, distribution packages, and preparation for project kickoff or handoverThe Bergaila Way:The Bergaila Companies is a nationally recognized leader in providing staffing services to all sectors of the energy industry.
