Job Description

We are looking for a scientist with hands-on experience in animal models to support the development of gene-based therapies for oncology applications. This individual will play a key role in planning and carrying out preclinical studies, contributing to the advancement of internal research programs. The role suits someone with expertise in tumor biology and pharmacology who enjoys working across teams in a fast-paced research environment.Qualifications of the In Vivo Scientist PhD in a relevant life sciences field such as immunology, cancer biology, or related disciplineSeveral years of practical experience working with tumor-bearing animal models in either academic or industry settingsProven ability to independently design and execute studies and draw meaningful conclusions from dataExperience with in vivo techniques such as surgical procedures and compound administrationFamiliarity with cell-based assays, tissue processing, and analytical methods such as flow cytometry; additional histological techniques are beneficialExperience with cell culture systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsEffective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across functionsExposure to regulated research environments is advantageousKey Responsibilities of the In Vivo Scientist Plan and carry out in vivo studies in partnership with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectivesIdentify and implement suitable animal models and experimental approaches to assess therapeutic activity, safety, and biological mechanismsConduct laboratory-based animal work, including dosing via multiple routes, tumor model establishment, imaging techniques, and routine monitoringHandle and process biological samples, including cell isolation and analysis using flow cytometry and immunoassaysAnalyze and interpret experimental findings, maintaining clear and thorough documentationCoordinate with external research organizations and collaborators as needed
