Senior Electronic TechnicianLocation: Irvine, CA (100% Onsite)A well-established aerospace and defense electronics manufacturer is seeking a Senior Electronic Technician to join their growing production team in Irvine, CA. This role is responsible for building, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting ruggedized electronic systems used in critical defense and aerospace programs.Position OverviewThe Senior Electronic Technician will be responsible for hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong schematic reading ability, excellent soldering skills, and experience using standard electronic test equipment.Compensation$30 - $38 per hour Overtime opportunities availableResponsibilitiesBuild, assemble, and test ruggedized electronic systems including cameras, recorders, and display unitsRead and interpret electronic schematics, assembly drawings, and technical work instructionsPerform troubleshooting and repair of electronic systems down to the component levelUtilize test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, digital voltage meters, and soldering stationsPerform PCB-level rework and hand soldering under a microscopeSupport production of high-mix, low-volume programs (typically 5-100 units per run)Accurately document work performed and maintain quality standardsRequirements5-10+ years of experience as an Electronic Technician in a manufacturing environmentAssociate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field requiredStrong experience reading and interpreting electronic schematics and assembly drawingsHands-on troubleshooting and repair experience at the component levelProficiency using electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, and soldering toolsExperience working in regulated manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defense, or medicalStrong hand soldering skills and experience performing PCB reworkMust be able to pass a Soldering testPreferred QualificationsAerospace or defense electronics manufacturing experienceFamiliarity with AS-9100 or ISO-9001 environmentsIPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certificationsExperience working with ruggedized or military-spec electronicsWork EnvironmentThis role operates in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to work on a variety of electronic systems.
